Butterfly Amigurumi Tutorial

This butterfly amigurumi pattern is a great project for intermediate and seasoned crocheters! It is inspired by the Monarch Butterfly but of course you could use it to create different kinds of butterflies.

If using the recommended yarn and hook size, your butterfly will measure about 10 x 7cm / 4 x 3″ wide and long.

Below you can find the free video instructions for the butterfly amigurumi. Or just hop over to YouTube to watch the complete tutorial and crochet along with me.

July 2023 Update: Due to pattern piracy I had to remove the free version of this pattern. You can still watch the video tutorial for free or purchase the pdf or interactive Ribblr for a small fee.

Unfortunately, it was brought to my intention that this pattern has been stolen by multiple unoriginal, disrespectful people, who tried to make money with it on Etsy. They copied the free written pattern in order to do so and referred to my video tutorial for the rest. I wish everyone would respect the work that goes into creating patterns. I am saddened for the lovely people who just want to use my free patterns to crochet for the joy of it. I hope you will find my free video tutorial helpful.

If you prefer an ad-free, downloadable pattern that can be accessed offline or printed, I offer a PDF pattern for this butterfly with 153 step-by-step images and detailed written instructions that can be purchased for a small fee on my new website.

Or go for the ad-free interactive pattern on Ribblr.

I am sorry you are no longer providing the free pattern. It would have been helpful to know that ahead of time before I had my hopes up. I am unable to follow tutorials so this was very sad for me. Have a blessed day.
